Spiritual Exercises of  St. Ignatian of Loyola

From the very beginning of the Family Meetings, the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola were immediately given to our families, parents and children, with much fruit for all. It became necessary to increase the fruit obtained in the Family Encounter. These wishes produced the dream of building the Manresa House "Retreat House", which since October 31, 1987, has been a reality.

To preserve and increase the fruits of the apostolic works of the Ignatian Spirituality Center, we invite all those who feel the need to order their lives and find God to pass through the experience of the Spiritual Exercises. The Center offers them in three modalities:
• EE Weekend
• EE Seven days
• EVD in Daily Life

Spiritual Exercises are defined as "every way of examining the conscience, of meditating, of contemplating, of praying." The method seeks to free one from disorders that impede doing the will of God.

St. Ignatius expressed himself in these terms: "By this name, spiritual exercises, is understood every way of examining the conscience, of meditating, of contemplating, of praying vocal or mentally, and of other spiritual operations (as will be explained later). For as walking and running are bodily exercises, so is every way of preparing and arranging the soul, to remove all disorderly affections, and, after their removal, to seek and find the divine will in the (correct) disposition of his life for the salvation of the soul, are called spiritual exercises. "First Note.
